Oklahoma doesn’t exactly burst into color in the Spring; one has to look for it. Tiny flowers suddenly appear out in the pasture, peeking up from between the long stalks of dead brown grass and out of spots of dry, cracked mud. The blossoms of wild plum and redbuds appear as white and pink haze amongst gray tree trunks in the woods. First the pears blossom, then cherry, then apple. Daffodils and grape hyacinth crowd around cement paths and mark the spot where an old farm house once stood. I welcome each and every one of those tiny spots of color, those wee messengers of the green and warmth and sunshine that are on the way. All of these photos were taken with my iPhone using the 10x macro lens from Olloclip. (For the full review of Olloclip and other fun smartphone photog accessories and apps, click here.)

Such beautiful flowers!! The one with the bug scared me, haha. I’m a wimp around bugs. That’s a really cool clip to add to your phone…. Amazing how far technology has come huh ?! I remember my old cell phone back in the day…. Was almost the size of half my arm! Love the pics!
It is pretty up close and personal to that spider – but he/she was so busy that I went unnoticed and unbothered.
Beautiful closed views of this wonderful flowers! Better finally then never! 🙂
True that, Sophie! I’ll take Spring whenever it decides to arrive!
Beautifully expressed and photographed, Annie, what a cheering sight. That second little pink one looks like a tiny dinosaur on the left. 🙂
It makes me very happy to see these little dinosaurs – err – flowers in early spring.
Stunning Annie! Amazing that these were taken on an iPhone!
I know, right?!
Spring is making me SO happy right now. These photos are lovely, and I love the iPhone ability with this 10x zoom! Very artsy!
Makes me feel like a real, fancy photographer! Plus flowers are just so darn photogenic!
Wow, great shots!! No one would ever guess they were taken with a phone!
Your close ups make me extremely in love with spring, even though its autumn for me right now 😀
Cheers

Enjoy the little reminder, CCU :-)!
I’ve been looking at Cherry Trees my whole life each spring but never so soft and beautiful as these. The trees have just begun to blossom here (Snowed for the Cherry blossom parade this year)
I’m still using my phone for pics as well…they’re so darn convenient! You’re a great addition to the Oklahoma landscape Girlfriend 🙂
